Mark Lynn Richardson, age 44, returned to work peacefully in the eternities Tuesday, June 30th 2009. Mark died of a sudden heart attack at Mountain View Hospital. He was born November 6th 1964 to the late Lynn B. Richardson of Benjamin andVerla Elfreda Shell of Payson. On February 18th, 1988 he married his eternal sweetheart Lynn Reamer Richardson. They have 6 children and 6 grandchildren.
Mark was continually engaged in service his entire life. He was always helping others and was mindful of the needs of those around him. Mark was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in several church positions such as Home Teacher, Scouts, Primary, Temple Preparation, Family Relations Teachers etc., Elders Quorum Presidency, Young Men’s President, Bishopric Counselor twice, High Priest Group Leader twice, High Councilman and many others he loved and enjoyed! Mark received his Eagle Scout Award and served as a missionary in the Peoria Illinois Mission Jan. 1984-Jan. 1986. He adored his wife and children, and worked very hard to provide for them physically, spiritually and emotionally. Mark was known for his great sense of humor, quick wit, incredible story telling ability, Christlike spirituality, confidant smile, physical strength, neighborly service, and his remarkable ability to make those around him feel acceptance, joy, comfort, and a warm enlistment.
He loved to meet new people, and to be with his family, relatives and friends. He was forever giving, patient, kind, considerate, tolerant, honest, full of charity, forgiving, and hard working. “He fought a good fight”, and he will continue on with all who knew him to fight for righteousness.
Mark is survived by his sweet wife Lynn Reamer Richardson, his six children: Holly Fairbanks (Eric), Heidy Myers (Austin), Haley Shell Richardson, Hadyn Mae Richardson,Kaleb Mark Richardson ,Kade Hank Richardson, his mother Verla, brother Sam Richardson(Shelly) and five sisters, KathyWride (Dennis), Chris Thompson (Mike), Annette Murphy (Jeff), Jackie Mortensen (Kevin) and Susan Chapman (Jared). Grandchildren: Peyton, Tate, Toby, and Paige Fairbanks, Allie and Kaity Meyers. Foreign exchange daughter, Alena Charapava.
Mark was greatly adored by his family, friends and neighbors and touched the hearts of all who knew him. He was presently employed by Mountain Land /States Irrigation Co. and had been the Business Owner of Mark-Get-Set-Grow Landscape and Sprinkler Co. He also was Manager of Sprinkler World and The Pipe Connection. Mark was foreman of new site development at Brigham Young University, and employer of many. He was preceded in death by his Father Lynn B. Richardson.
The viewing will be Sunday July 5th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the 10th Ward /Knoll Park building 160 S 460 W and Monday July 6th at 9:30 am to 10:45 am, followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Richardson Family Trust fund at any Central Bank or the Salem Far West Bank 100 East Hwy 198.
